    Dual Screen Help

Hello people of FFR! I was wondering if you technical fellows could help me out with my little problem here. I have two monitors hooked up to a GeForce card, and I have nview.

heres my problem: I play fullscreen games on one monitor, and I have msn conversations on the other, but when I go to click on the msn conversation window, the full screen application minimizes itself creating a great deal of lag and missed gaming time. Is there anyway that I could prevent the game from minimizing while still having conversations?

      No, you can't.

In my experience with two monitors, this has always happened and as far as I know, there is no solution outside of windowing the game.

Try googling it, though. I don't even know where to begin on what search terms to use, so good luck.

Why don't you just window your game and size it to one of your monitors?

Because windowing a game makes it run slower. Also, a lot of games can't be windowed.

                  Useful post.

Like roughly 90% of all fullscreen games. First person shooters, real-time strategy, mmos, the works.

I'd wager to say 99% of all fullscreen games, when run windowed, run significantly slower.

Let me put it this way: If you're that interested in chatting while you play, why are you worrying about the performance hiccups?

Uhh, gimme specs of your card and monitors, and I'll think for a moment, but you're pretty much stuck as I understand it.
