A tough one!

Alright guys I got a tough one here. I'm listening to this one song. I love it, its so.... i don't know, it gets me going. Like I wanna go out and party and just have a great time. Anyways what the real problem is, I don't know what it is.

I don't know the author, I don't know the name, I don't know anything about the song. The song itself isn't even in english. I got the song many many many years ago and it was my favorite song until I lost it. I found it again on my old hard-drive and its one of those songs you can listen to for weeks straight and its just such a cool song. But I have no information on it. If I do that one thing where you call and it tells you the name of the song and stuff, like you would call and put on the song and a machine would figure it out, the machine has no idea what song it is.

Any idea how I could figure it out?

Coming to think about it, maybe this should go in Media.

Uhm, it probably should go in media. Also, to start off your search for the name and artist of the song, you should probably find out what language it is sung in first. I guess that would help, tons.

i was thinking about that. its like... asian.... but i don't know many asian people haha. i don't know if its japanese or chinese or what. i think its japanese

How do you know if it's Japanese? Let me rephrase that: WHY do you think it's Japanese (instead of Chinese)?

Just the way it sounds. I do know some asian people and stuff and hearing them made it a little easier to tell the difference. I don't know what they're saying but I have a good guess on which it is.

well it's easy to tell japanese from chinese
and hmm...well there's loads of asians here, so hopefully someone will be able to help

but there is that site [but it wouldn't be much help in your case] where you tap out the beat of the sound on yout keyboard and it tells you possibilities of what it could be

Start with how you got the song in the first place. That usually helps.

Assuming that doesn't help, then it's gonna be pretty hard for anyone to tell without hearing it.

Alternatively (although this won't help much), you could try to write what you hear.

I asked my friend and he pointed me to his friend which pointed me to his partner which knows japanese and he's like. "well ya know what, i'm listening to the same song right now as we speak." I broke out laughing.
