    Video capturing devices

I got a webcam and want to record some StepMania videos on my laptop. What's a good vidcap program? My laptop is a Cely/1.6/1GB so keep that in mind.

Also, what should the contrast/sharpness/brightness/gamma/exposure be?

You don't need a webcam to record stepmania plays, just use fraps.

I have bad experiences with FRAPS. Screw the free version, and when I download the full version of LimeWire it's always corrupted.

        LimeWire blows....

Search for it on *removed* and you can find a decent copy (I have)

Also you're going to need a good compression video codec (I use 3vix) and a video converter (try videozilla)

Same thing with torrents. I think it's because I tried to install the full version once-this way people who actually pay can get it. Bunch of greedy cacksuckers.

Nah, I find torrents quite reliable 95% of the time, the only exception is when I get a passworded file and *NOTHING* pisses me off more than that.

On an unrelated note: did I mention I hate censorship?

If you search the original tracker's page, finding a .RAR password is quite easy. I haven't had a problem yet.

PS DivX and XviD are the best video compression codecs out there. I prefer DivX simply because it's always getting better and has so many options, and it's very easy to crack pro =)

PS: I dl'd FRAPS from isohunt and installed it, but the program doesn't execute when I click on it.

I'd say what I mean but that would probably be against the rules.

Anyway, never mind, I got my webcam to look ok. Next stop: YouTube.
