    Build your own computer

Hi FFR, lol I'm such a lurk.

Anyway I'm going to upgrade my cooling system over spring break and I basically have to dissassemble my computer down to some pretty base components.

So I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a picture guide on how to build a computer with some technical stuff thrown in, or should I not waste my time.

    Yes, please.

I would salivate if such a useful guide came into existence. I'm not kidding.

Step 1. unscrew all the screws you see.
Step 2. pull the stuff out.
        Step 3. replace the stuff
Step 4. screw that stuff back in

If your case doesn't use screws, do what your case tells you too.

        Thats my guide.

How are you installing a cooling system if you don't know how to put together a computer?

Building a computer is pretty straight forward if you familiarize yourself with the components of a computer.

All computers are different (unless you have a specific name brand), you just have to know what you are doing. You can't really make a guide. I mean, I suppose one could, but it would kind of pointless.

irony Again, in an attempt to reaffirm himself as the "best poster" Jewpin takes the passive defensive approach. /irony

When I say upgrade my cooling system, I mean improve my airflow on the computer that I already built from separate parts bought online.

Many people build "from scratch" in this manner and it is the only way to get a computer the way you want.

I would have liked a nice guide to installing a processor when I first built, and I thought people might want to know how to use thermal paste etc., that kind of guide.

This isn't written by me by it did help me when I put my first computer together a long time ago. Most pictures are there, and also some instructions on how to do things. As long as you apply some common sense to things this should work quite well.

Follow our step by step guide to help you build your own PC

                  Oh nice site.

Well I guess I'll just post pics of the GPU cooler and other stuff not covered there.
