Person 1 makes a wish.
Person 2 comes up with a horrible way to grant that wish, like the old "Careful what you wish for!"
Then, Person 2 makes a wish, and the cycle continues.
As:
Person 1: I wish that I could fly
Person 2: You can now fly, but you don't know how to land so you crash and burn
