My Verizon DSL, (Yes, it sucks), drops every time it rains. I live in Pennsylvania and it rains quite frequently. Also, it drops when it thunders and lightnings. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this?

Re: Internet conundrum
Are you using one of Verizon's wireless PC cards to find internet, or are you getting internet through a wire? -

Re: Internet conundrum
I imagine the rain and lightning is some how causing interference in your internet connection. In which case, you need to buy like...a million fans (or build one massive fan) and every time rain clouds approach, you can blow them away.Comment

Re: Internet conundrum
Actually, after doing some research on the matter, it seems that there are many different people living in PA with the same problem. Possibly something going wrong at Verizon. I would suggest calling/complaining/asking if they've been experiencing outages in your area and what you can do about it.
That'll work too.Comment

Re: Internet conundrum
Jewpin's idea is hot. I get the internet through a line. I have called them and they have replaced the line twice.

And call them about it.
