    Laptop Help

    Hey, I have another question.

I like to download large files, but my internet only downloads at 100 kbps, or lower, so I have to leave my laptop on for long periods of time.

One problem, it goes into like a "Stand By/Sleep" mode, and the screen turns black. When it goes into this mode, it cuts off all Internet Access, so my download will stop.

How do I turn this mode off?

My laptop is a: IBM Thinkpad R40, Windows XP, Pentium M, 512 MB Ram, 32 GB HDD.

It's in the control panel under power management.

Right Click, click on properties, go to the Screen saver tab, click power save at the bottom, and turn it off!

Get a desktop. Or download less porn.

You might want to keep it on for when the laptop is not plugged into the wire, it saves a lot of battery. Just turn it off when plugged into a power supply.
