So I need some help

Yeah basically... I'm getting into web designing. I self-taught myself HTML, and I've decently mastered it. I know, however, that my knowledge is quite limited and that I can learn so much more. I basically need tips concerning what I should learn. I have heard that CSS is a good second step, but I would like to make sure of this

yes definatly.

as a web developer (at the tender age of 16 :P) i started out by learning HTML, then CSS followed by PHP and JavaScript. (self taught)

so yes learn css next

Learn HTML->XHTML->CSS->JavaScript->PHP

CSS sounds good, but remember that it will take a while for you to learn how to use HTML or CSS, and what can and can't be done. Once you get a basic understanding of CSS, try incorporating your stylesheet to your HTML pages. CSS can eliminate almost all <font> tags, saving time.

Eventually, if you get good at it, CSS can get rid of <table> tags too.

Once your done with cosmetics, I would have to suggest getting into the good stuff and learning PHP.

Johnny .. as you know .. I agree with most of these recommendations
