Re: Scratch offs
I never one any cash with scratch-off tickets. I only won "a fries meal" once and "second ice-cream 50% discount" twice >.<
I do like the scratching. I usually use "cents" or my fingernails.

Yeah, I suck at this game.

Re: Scratch offs
Since I turned 18, I've only won on one ticket. $3 on a stocking stuffer.
My twentieth birthday present from my aunt and uncle was twenty or thirty dollars worth of tickets (some expensive ones, too, where the chance of winning at least something is high) and I won nothing.
I used to win a good deal when my parents would let me scratch some of theirs. Maybe twenty-five or thirty dollars, tops, though.

Re: Scratch offs
Ah, you need to know what to buy, and it's actually possible to profit off them with only minimal luck!
Always buy the newest ones. Keep track of what comes in your local convenience store, and whenever you see something new, just ask the dude behind the counter when that came in. If it came oh, the day before, then it's safe.
Well, this is just for people who buy them frequently and feel like they never ever win anything. I guess I wouldn't really recommend buying them just because some minor on the Internet told you a trick to buying them. It does work, though, my mom started winning a bit more after she got this advice from someone else who makes enough on tickets to take the place of a part-time job. It probably has something to do with gambling regulations/licensing (e.g. my church did a raffle (lol) to help the youth group and no matter how many people entered, we needed to give away $3000 according to our raffle license, so our main goal was to bank $3000 so after that everything else we got was profit).Last edited by lord_carbo; 03-3-2007, 03:35 PM.Comment
