Okay, so ive been playing flash flash for a while now and i just finally made a profile for this site. It says i have a [U]private message[U], but i dont even know how to check or send mail. So, if anyone could just give me some pointers on how to use the site that would be cool.

At the top of your screen when you are viewing the forum there should be a link to your private messages. It says "Private messages".

You should have gotten email notification with a link to your PM.

Also be patient and only click the "post thread" button once.

You put in a valid email address, right? Not just a made up one?
