    Principles of Math 12

    Hm, I saw math related topics being created. I guess I'll make one since I'm stuck. It's really simple compared to what usually gets posted here. I'm homeschooling and there's all these symbols that I've never seen before. There's nothing explaining what they are, they're just used...

    Okay, well. Here it is:

    Domain: R
    Range: {y|y[lessthanorequalto] 3, y [curved E] R}

    The R is in some odd font. Okay, I've a basic understanding of these things, just from guessing what they are (which would make sense), but I just want clarification.

    The "R", why it says "y|...", what the curved E is.

    I'm going to go through my stuff... I had something else to ask about.
    That's cool Mario, but how come whenever you eat mushrooms, everything gets bigger but your dick?

    yer just means that y can be any real number. R is talking about real numbers, and the e is more specifically saying that y can be taken from any of them (the real numbers) within the range you have defined.

    It's essentially fancy notation. Get used to it because it comes up a lot in higher maths ;p

      exactly

      the domain can be any real number
      and the range is all y such that y is a real and less than or equal to 3
