Re: WOW
Don't make me get the statistics on this. It's not uncommon for a teenager to have tried drugs, and just about every teen I know has a facination with fire. Stealing is probably much less common (car theft? probably not), but as far as I can see, it must be far more common than "beating up handicapped kids at school."

Re: WOW
The way you phrased it, you made it seem like almost all teens go around setting fires to things and stealing cars. There's a difference between lighting some twigs on fire, or the powder from firecrackers in your backyard to setting large things on fire.
He was also "getting picked up for drugs," which usually doesn't happen unless you're carrying large amounts. Most of the time dealing. Most teens I know have smoked pot a couple of times, whereas the direction this kid was going I bet he was doing a lot more than that.

Re: WOW
JKPolk is dead on. I like my medicine when I'm sick or have a headache and I like to light fires to keep warm on campouts. I must be nuts too. It's the intent of using these tools that matter.

Re: WOW
15 years is definitely not a life sentence.
50 could be. But I thought it was literally, uh, life. Or like, 200 years, or something longer than anyone would ever be able to serve.C is for Charisma, it's why people think I'm great! I make my friends all laugh and smile and never want to hate!Comment

Re: WOW
He was probably put under an indeterminate life sentence if somewhere along the lines "15 years" was mentioned.
Also, obligatory "holy ****."
Lastly, you can use the link http://www.penny-arcade.com/2007/02/21#1172088960 so it scrolls down to the second article automatically, heh.Last edited by lord_carbo; 02-23-2007, 07:50 PM.Comment
