Yeah it's fun to know what your BMI is, but it can't tell you if you're obese or not. I'm 185 pounds 6'1 which puts me at 24.4 just under the obese line. And I'm an all state swimmer. I know for a fact that I'm 8% body fat and I'm willing to post a pic if you guys don't believe me. IMO, that's kind of a BS scale.

It said "Body Mass Index", not "Body Fat Index" = P.

This is true.

However, when it identifies a certain BMI range as "obese", then fat is definitely implied.

Maybe they should leave a note that asks users to be aware of how much muscle and fat they have.

About the only downside of my muscle is that most of the muscles are in my legs (I've been playing soccer since memory, it'd be unnatural not have huge leg muscles), and my best friend didn't believe me at one point @_@.

I recall hearing that these aren't entirely accurate though, due to extremely muscular people weighing more despite being entirely more than healthy.

BMI is inaccurate, according to BMI I am, considerably overweight. Yet all that weight is muscle, I am very healthy and my actual body fat is 13%. But according to BMI, I should be having a heart attack right now.
