The majority of the people who have responded to this thread you've created are morons. They think they look cooler by picking on hapless noobs such as yourself.
They do, however, bring up good points.
The forum is not a chat room. You don't make threads asking people to just talk. We have a video chat, a multiplayer chat, and a profile chat for that.
Also, if you'd like to introduce yourself, you're best off posting in the Newbie Forum, which Blazze linked you to a couple of times. There you can read the rules and get a good deal of your questions answered by reading the stickied threads.
