Help me with my Comp

My computer is really pissin me off...its a cheap laptop i bought only 5 months ago with a celrion prosessor 512RAM for school persposes.

I use it for 2 other things. StepMania, and Runescape (Yes i konw its a peice of **** game but i like the gameplay lol)


There's one thing really pissin me off about it, I think I already got spywere and The only 2 siets i go on being this and runescape.com and I'm almost dead sure these are secure sites.

I'm wondering If anyone would know which processors I would have to delete or what I would have to do to get rid of it.

Im not sure if it's spywere but my comp is freezing and randomly lagging out until i have to resart it becase my CPU usage becaomes unbarably high for no reason.

Also...When u have crap in ur keyboard such as plastic **** somone blew over ur comp now its stuck in there...how to u get it out? I'm constantly having to retype letters because theres crap underneath them

From what you described, you may very well have some sort of virus or spyware. I'd reccomend downloading the trial version of AVG, and run a scan. Hopefully it will find whats wrong and offer to quarentine them.

The keyboard issue? Did you turn it upside down and hit it? If that doesn't work, you could always unscrew and open it up, but you may ruin it.

Let's break this down step by step.

First of all, you don't disable processors. Most computers only have one, and it's the Intel chip you mentioned previously.

Second of all, I would recommend taking the list of processes to https://www.liutilities.com/products...processlibrary . That website will show you which processes are beneficial and which ones are harmful.

Third, I would recommend getting an antivirus (there are many good ones out there that cost no money such as AVG, Avast, and Kaspersky) and running a scan. I would also recommend getting an antispyware program (again, many good ones such as Spy-Bot and Ad-Aware) and running that.

Fourth, the simple fix for "crap in your keyboard" is a can of compressed air.

thx im downloading the antivirus stuff now and i'll buy that air...its ganna finnally be good to type and not look like a retard due to lag and crap in my keyboard

Yeah, having multiple IE processes open will absolutely lag your computer.

By the way, it's likely that you got the spyware from runescape.com, because they have the ads at the top. I got a piece of spyware from there a long time ago. Try blocking the ads or something.

well, at the top of my screen it says: 1458 blocked which stops pop-ups every time, and if you click that it days pop-ups okay, sooo maybe you should see if you have that.

One way to disable the ads on the top of Runescape is to become a member.

But that costs $5 a month and there are easier ways to get rid of them.

It's called Google Toolbar.

Which also means you're probably using Internet Explorer.

The best way to stop popups and spyware is to use Firefox.

I'll try firefox i guess...also about the rs stuff I am a member

But also my comp is still lagging like anything...My Mcaffe is expired and also i got a virus before my comp was hooked up to the net...could McAffe be trying to get me to subscribe by lagging me...scince it gives me fake viruses lol

Also the lagg somtimes is in a pulasation where every second and a half everything will stop for half a second

It also take literally 7 mins to go into hibernatoin and 15 mins to boot up

Like I said, try getting a different antivirus and running a scan.

Also, it's not uncommon for McAfee and Norton to purposely lag computers. I've seen it happen MANY times in the field.

I'd suggest downloading HijackThis and going onto a technical help forum that does HJT support, such as:

Just don't mess up your computer using HijackThis.
