So who does it? I'm looking into it right now as something to do in the off season of rugby. Any tips for someone just beginning?

Re: Boxing
My fiance used to box so this advice comes from him, through me.
Boxing is a great sport to keep you fit and relieve stress, however it is important to find a good club that will keep you safe and give you the right training.
I suggest you look around your local area, visit the clubs and find one you feel comfortable in, preferably with a number of members within your weight group (so you have a number of different people to spar with). Also check out the safety measures within the club and also the equipment (is it old, worn down, broken).
All in all, if you are looking at boxing as a hobby, find somewhere where you can have fun doing it. If a club is too into winning competitions there may be no room to enjoy your new hobby.
I think thats about it, hope it was the kind of help you were looking for.

Re: Boxing
Tanner, y'know how I have this cast on my hand? It's from boxing training. >_>
Good **** though, it's giving me great upper body strength for football.Comment

Re: Boxing
Hahah that's awesome Jeff. Ya, I need more upper body strength for rugby so I figure why not.
Thanks Angel, I'm completely oblivious to this new scene and wouldn't have really known any of this stuff on my own.Comment
