Re: Notebook help
Don't go for the Dells. Unless it's a high priced one, it won't run fast enough. If it does, it usually catches on fire. I haven't used a Toshiba. Alienware seems to be a good gaming computer. I would go with one of the 889 dollar models, assuming you live in the USA.I need help finding a notebook that can, at least, play GunZ on ijji.com. It needs to be from Dell, Toshiba, Alienware, or Microcenter.com. It also needs to be under 1000 dollars. Can someone help me?

Re: Notebook help
Toshiba is actually really good for the price. Browse bestbuy.com. One of my buddies found a really nice Toshiba there for under 1000. I just don't remember where exactly.

Re: Notebook help
A notebook that can run GunZ?
The lowest requirements for a computer that'll run GunZ without any problems would be a computer with 512 MB RAM and a 64 MB video card. That'll give you about 25 FPS and slowdowns only when someone uses smoke grenades.
Other than that, you shouldn't really need to worry about a computer that will specifically run GunZ. If you're an avid gamer, go for a 128 MB video card with a pixel shader and a vertex shader because many games are horrible and slow with 64 MBs and most modern games don't run without both a pixel/vertex shader. In other words, don't stick with a crappy integrated card and go for something like GeForce or NVIDIA. Integrated cards usually don't come with the things to play games.Last edited by lord_carbo; 12-28-2006, 10:56 AM.Comment
