it is so extraordinarily self-explanitory i don't know how you can be screwing it up

CP > Signature Settings > Put in a signature > Submit

It won't appear in posts prior to the signature edit immediately.

You can put your sig within your signature using this URL:

http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...=editsignature

You can obviously edit it here:

http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/.../SiggyEdit.php

and there is a forum field that you can copy and paste into forums or several other options.
