Most of you probably remember when I posted a thread a month or two back, which lead along the lines of 'omg my computer is a fucktard'. Well, those days are over, as I've finally convinced my dad to let us get a new one. So! I'm trying to decide what to get. Here's what I think we're getting (keep in mind, I have a price range of around $600)

AMD Athlon 2500+ Quantispeed w/ 333mhz front bus
80gb Western Digital HD
512 megs DDR400 duel channel Ram
Nvidia GeForce-FX 5200 128mb Pro
52x32x52 CD/DVD R
Windows XP Home

That's what we think we're going to get, for a grand total of $610. If anybody has any suggestions, comments, or sites where I can look for better ones, I'd be open to any.

Also, i got a Intel Celeron with cd-r cd-rw writable drive, Intel Extreme, Win XP Home (I don't know the other stats) at Nebraska Furniture Mart for-get this- $300.

DONT GET HOME EDITION!!!! Get professional. Since my computer used to be home edition and it messed up pretty bad at most things. Its very buggy unless they have a updated version of it. Buttt... its your choice, just saying that it screwed up for me.

Lol dude, you can't say that as a 'look at me i'm special' statement. You could be running like, a 1.2 ghz celeron with 20 gig hd and 64 megs of ram (like my comp). In which case if you paid 300 bucks you got ripped off majorly.

Yeah, thats really the biggest problem with mine. If you try and make it do more than one thing at once, it freezes...very annoying.
