omg i could get into this huge in depth debate as to why you shouldn't dl music, and that theres no possible good reason you could give that justifies dling music for free, but i'll just cut to the end: those 'law abiding types' aren't the ones stealing and hurting the industry. you are. period.Originally posted by Anticrombie0909Yea its stupid. I never said that the 'law abaiding types' were hurting the industry, I said they were pussies. Big difference. The only reason I think that in the first place is because I want to make an example of the ones making an example of us. They're trying to intimidate us into deleting it by catching a few people and charging them huge fines that border into overkill, and hope the rest of us will be too scared to continue downloading. But it won't work for two reasons:Originally posted by ultimategameromg i could get into this huge in depth debate as to why you shouldn't dl music, and that theres no possible good reason you could give that justifies dling music for free, but i'll just cut to the end: those 'law abiding types' aren't the ones stealing and hurting the industry. you are. period.Originally posted by Anticrombie0909Yea its stupid. 1) They can't shut down Kazaa. With Napster, it could be physically shut down. But since Kazaa is completely user based, as long as people use it it will prosper. And even if by some freak chance they do shut it down, a new one will be up in under 6 months tops.
2) If you unshare your files, they can't get your IP adress and there's no way to get fined. So even if every user in the US unshares their files, we'd still have users overseas to download from. They have no incentive to unshare theirs, as they're completely out of US Jurisdiction.
IT WON'T WORK. THEY'RE WASTING MONEY AND TIME. FUCK UNCLE SAM AND KEEP YOUR KAZAA.Comment
