Try GameMaker. Although you have to code most of the DDR type stuff in yourself.

Learn about programming.

Flash works, but is rather tedious.

All u needa do is buy a special game version, my friend has it and it works great, you just hit the arrows you want with a controller, and then you can play!!!

Hm.... never use game maker because I'm not sure there is the function of the things u need to make a ddr game. Macromedia flash 8 is good if you can find a tutorial to make the ddr game. Hm... I don't seem too find anything, but i'll tell you if i do

A basic DDR game is actually relatively easy to make using programming languages.

Do not use Gamemaker it will bog like nuts if 5+ objects get on screen moving.

programming languages in flash i believe Tokzik was saying. I guess so. But I don't think it is relatively easy as you say it is. So far, i haven't even come across a tutorial or resource giving me programming languages

As far as I know it would be quite difficult to do without ending up lagging the system. Even FFR tends to lag slower computers. If you want to make steps for your songs you have I'd suggest using StepMania. Otherwise... Using a flash program would be your best bet but as it was said before it would be tedious. If your just doing this because you're bored I'd say work slow at it I'd say, don't try to run before you can walk.

Actually gm can make a good ddr game. however, to make a good one, u have to register to make it. You gotta make a ddl file i believe. My friend made one CLICK HERE. But overall, i dont think u should use game maker for a ddr game. It would be better to use something like C++. (might take awhile to code thou... but its pretty straight forward.) I previously made one myself. Its somewere in the forums too. But yea, dont use game maker to make one. use something else.

Best to practice making simpler games 1st before trying something advanced like a ddr emulator. Making pong with javascript was perhaps one of the most complicated things Ive ever done in my life.
