Ok so everyone heard about the Playstation 3 coming out right. Well they said the price will range from around $500.00-$600.00 dollars. The reason why for the price range gap is because the PS3 will have a hard drive installed in it which can have 20 MB or 60 MB. The games dont even get me started with the games they are going to probably cost like $60-$100. I think the reason why is because i think you might be able to save some the games on to the PS3 (not sure about this just heard it). So it looks like the only 1 who will be able to buy a PS3 this Christmas is going to be Bill Gates.

They are so screwed over with the PS3 because of the price. Not to mention that their main franchise GTA is now out on 360, along with Halo 3, they have nothing that the 360 doesn't have. And the 360 is way cheaper.

My guess is that they charge 500$ & 600$ because unlike the Xbox 360/Microsoft, they don't have as many "glitches" like the 360 had at the beginning.....I can't ever recall a PS2 glitch at all. You pay for a glitch-free, awesome graphics, fun system.

But that's just my opinion of course....I could be wrong....

NO, the reason its so expensive is the Blu-ray DVD player in it.

I can't ever recall a PS2 glitch at all.

It has blu ray.

But also, the cell processor is pretty expensive to make and was expensive to develop.

PS. I have to get it, RPGs and all.

PPS. The first gen of PS2s had glitches coming out of every port

Sony obviously will not sell it for the price of the 360 or the Wii. It cost Sony roughly $800.00 to create EACH Playstation 3 console. They are actually losing money selling these PS3s.

BTW, It's GB, not MB and I know a lot of people buying the PS3.

I really think Sony made a bad move by using blue-ray, because its so ahead of its time that its way to expensive and more than any normal person would need, EVER. not to mention the graphics are not that significantly different because of it either.

There's been a really HUGE line at best buy that 80% of the costumers are buying a ps3. The line goes all the way to the entrance.

They're waiting to make a killer profit on eBay.

I've actually gone and asked some people waiting outside the stores in my area. You can make a solid $1,500 sale on eBay, meaning a $900 profit.

None of my friends are planning on getting the PS3. All I've been hearing about all week is the Wii.
