I once got a virus by trying to download a keygen from an unreliable site and I was too stupid to scan it before opening it.
Bad move.
Lucky for me, HijackThis exists, so it was cleared in no time. I got most of it out on my own knowledge so the computer ran at a good speed and a professional got the last bit out for me.
In summary, HijackThis > all, and unless I get a real virus, you know, one that actually destroys your computer, I'm pretty safe. (Hell since the Internet exists, as long as my Internet is up, the hardware still works, and my computer can turn on, if I were to back-up C:\Windows\ on the Internet I could save my computer all by myself without the use of a second computer or professional help with Knoppix; theoretically speaking, that is.)
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor
ihave nothing to worry about. i know a lot about computers, my dad is a computer technisian and he teaches me stuff. although if something bad does happen it doesn't cost anything for us to get it fixed, because my dad will fix it for free. pwnage.
You know a lot about computers but nothing about spelling. Yay.

I just went there myself, nothing happened. I only have like the built in pop up blocker from FireFox. Recently though, I got a random pop up from visiting ebaumsworld (lol who goes there anymore) while using firefox, and I thought nothing of it and closed the SOB. Soon after, a series of pop ups followed, throwing at me about 10 popups a second...Luckily, ctrl+alt+delete exists and the whole "End Process Tree" option exists which enabled me to remove them all with a click...but Still, the fact that it still happened kinda worries me, cause my old computer got owned that way.
Am i gonna get more protection due to this? Probably not. =]
