Decided to share this with you guys:
Yesterday was the anniversary for Yitzhak Rabin's death.
Perhaps the best Prime Minister Israel ever had. On the day he signed the Oslo Accords he was shot twice and died later in the hospital. One person changed the history of a nation forever.
So today, the Israeli scouts have put together a day to honor him (like they always do in Israel) and it's about an hour of singing and reading speeches about him and even his own that he had written during wars and during his time of being a prime minister.
I am attending the concert and i'm going to sing the song "Livkot Lecha" (Cry for you) that was written about him in the year of 95'.
What happened before he got shot? He stepped off the stage after singing "Shir lashalom" (Song for peace) and walked to his car with his wife and was shot while this:
being in his suit pocket (the lyrics to the song for peace).
And like Clinton said "Shalom Chaver" (Hello friend).
Edit: Forgot to mention he was shot by an Israeli named Yigal Amir (who was also an orthodox). He didn't believe that the signing of the Oslo Accords was necessary and decided to terminate him.
