    Full screen blues

    Hyello all,
I come here in my hour of need seeking help.

Whenever I run any full screen program (full screen as in like javascript games on Windows media player) my computer will restart when I close it down.

I've tried removing old programs, defragmentation, removing useless running processes, examining my events list for clues, spy-ware removal, ad-ware removal, and numerous virus scans with no luck.

So i ask anyone that can to please aid me with this problem.

    Thank you in advance
    ~Dagx

Ever try to run a virus check or ad-ware/spy-ware removal in Safe Mode? I heard that works all the time.

        I highly doubt it's a virus.

Something like this happened back when I first got my comp, it would shut down at random times. Also, it probably isn't a virus cause it just sounds like a tech problem.

                Wel nutbunnies.

Well I'm posting this problem on 2 other forums and they aren't helping much either. I'd try a system restore but it didn't sart after any particular major change.

Sounds like your registry is ****ed up. Something in there is corrupted and not allowing you to perform certain operations. Your best option is to reformat with a clean install of Windows. Finding and fixing registry issues is extremely difficult.

Not if the issue has been documented before. It could be a really simple issue if all it takes is deleting a few keys, or changing a value. I mean, if that doesn't work, a reformat is the next-best option. But it's best to try to find a fix before giving up and going to the exhausting task of lists, backups, and crap. When I accidentally deleted all my sound drivers... THAT was a time to reformat.

How the hell do you run javascript games on Windows Media Player?

And why are you playing javascript games?

My little brother is obsessed with maplestory and occasionnaly I'll use the full screen mode of WMP while doing something else.

Anyway I've been through my events list and i haven't found any logs of my problem.
