Sigh, it's sad, but it's most likely that she doesn't see you as anything more than a best friend.

If you feel that you must pursue something with her, go for it. If she rejects you, don't keep trying. You'll just make her feel horrible and you could very well lose a great friendship. Think of her also, not just yourself.

Well if you know she only sees you that way, then you have to get her to see you differently. Find out what attractive to her in a guy and see if you can't grab her attention that way. But, don't change yourself to someone else though to fit her likes though (unless they are bad things about yourself). Only do things, be a certain way, etc if it's fine for you as well.

I've never succeeded getting a friend to like me that I used to crush on, because I was mostly still the same way/look/etc that I never caught their eye. I threw out my fishing line but never had a bite. It's all good though because, unlike many of you, I don't keep liking them and instead grow to be happy just being friends.

So to sum it up: try to catch her eye, flirt to show you're interested, and if some time passes and she still won't see you that way, you have to learn to be happy with just being friends. Who knows, she may look at you differently in you in the future because something about you caught her eye, and you'll be the one not interested as you've grown to only see her as a friend. That hasn't happened to me either, although one time a friend started dancing with me a little dirty and I thought it was totally weird as by that time I was completely satisifed being great friends. Even though she is amazingly attractive physically and personally, I couldn't help but laugh when it was happening because I saw her as just a friend (though we were just dancing as friends, the way it was made me lol).

My advice is this: she thinks of you as a friend, which she has told you, which means she has no physical attraction to you whatsoever, so it's a loss cause this year. If you keep pushing the issue you'll no doubt lose a friend and look really really creepy. Another note: if you're having trouble getting a girl to like you or any girl for that matter, stop trying, stop trying at all. Girls do not like desparation. If you are really interested in finding a girl, hang out in places that you find interesting, places that are of your interest group. Here, you will most likely find girls that are interested in the same thing. After this happens, just act confidently and be yourself, this will work for a really good relationship. If you're looking for a one night stand, act mysteriously and just play it by ear. Seriously, women are a science that can only be understood at the moment, there's no set way that really works.
