LOL they played that song when we got our Eagle Globe and Anchor. It was kinda gay, but I wasnt really thinking about the song, all I was thinking about was the last three months it took for me to earn my Eagle Globe and Anchor. It was a great day.

*cough* *cough* The Marines do have snipers. Have you ever heard of the Marine Scout/Sniper Program that was created by Carlos Hathcock, a Marine. He had 93 confirmed kills during Vietnam.

Holy Crap, Hund's back! So...how was boot camp/Iraq? 5 bucks says it wasn't nearly as much fun as just staying home and playing Opposing Force.

Iraq, hell no, well, not yet. I still have to go to combat training and then I go to my job training. No, I am not infantry. My MOS (job field) is Constrution/Utility Option, hopefully I will get metal work, I want to build my own car in the future. The only way I would go to Iraq is if I get stationed in California. I am almost 100% sure about that, but I will not know till April/May, when my combat and MOS training is done, if get stationed there. Well at recruit training, boot camp is Army, it was hard. I cant really explain how it was like, cause you would have to be there to know what it is like. If you have seen Full Metal Jacket, its kinda like that. They dont hit or kick you, but they can quarter-deck. Quarter-decking is when you get introuble for something and the Drill Instructor orders you to push (push-ups) and you push fast, then he would say run (run in place) and knees higher (run in place while having your knees up waist high). Also there is crunch (crunches), steam-engines (standing up, hand on head, left elbow touches right knee then right elbow touches left knee and repeat), mountain climbers (same thing as steam-engines, only you are on your hands and knees), and side-staddle hops (jumping jacks). After 5 min of this you are hurting and I have seen some smokings (quarter-decking) go on for like 10-15 min. Its insane, but funny to watch/hear when its not happening to you. If you guys want to know about something, ask and I will answer it to the best of my ablity.

What weapons were you trained in (if you were, that is)?

We were trained with the M16A2 service rifle, a F**king awsome weapon. It was a point of aim weapon which means whatever you point at, the round will hit it. The M16A2 had the ablity to hit a point on a target up to 550 yards. The longest distance we shot it at was 500 yards in the prone position. The M16A2 weights 7.5 lbs unloaded and when you run with it and drill with it, it gets heavy. The kick on the weapon is almost nothing, because of a spring in the buttstock. Also sighting the weapon is so easy, all you have to figure in is wind and distance. Aiming the weapon is easy as pie also, you just make the tip of the front-sight (looks like a l ) centered both vertically and horizonally in the rear-sight (looks like a "o") and the tip would be center mass on a target. If you managed this, you would hit the target in the black, which meant a dead enemy in a combat zone. The only thing that sucked was that the M16A2 had to be cleaned alot or it wouldnt fire properly (this never happened to me), but cleanning sucked because you had to get all the carbon off the bolt, firing pin, chamber, in the bore, and the bolt carrier (holds the bolt and firing pin in place).
