Re: NEW COMPUTER!!
You know you got totally ripped off:
www.ibuypower.com
A computer with those same specs but twice as much storage is less than $1000, no "retail prices" to trick you into thinking you got a good deal. For $1,443, you can get:
-550 GB of storage over two HDs
-2 GB of RAM
-Nvidia Geforce 7300 512MB video card (not much worse than that video card but infinite times cheaper)
-3.6 Ghz processor
-19" LCD monitor
-Basic components like floppy drive, speaker, CD/DVD and CD-RW/DVD-RW drives, ect.Last edited by lord_carbo; 08-26-2006, 05:45 PM.Comment

Re: NEW COMPUTER!!
Carbo. You just showed me the best site ever. Now I won't have to put out so much ****ing money for a good computer.
God. I am using that site. It has more choices than I wanted. O.oLast edited by FluorescentArmy; 08-26-2006, 06:01 PM.

Re: NEW COMPUTER!!
Anyone who buys a computer from retail and then brags about it knows nothing.
I Buy Power is a good site, but they give me all this useless crap I don't need. www.newegg.com is good if you just want to buy individual parts, and know how to put them together.
Carbo, that may not be better. I may have misread, but he has SLI'd two 7900GTX's, which is really close to top notch performance. The processor is what I question in both of you. Speed doesn't really matter as much as the brand. An Intel Pentium 4, 3.0, is just as fast as an AMD Athlon XP 64 4200, 2.4 ghz. The new Intel Conroe Duo Cores are probbaly the best out there for your money, easily overclocked on standard cooling, faster than it's predecessors.
Congratulations regardless : )Comment
