Stupid spyware

I think I got it all, but now I have two problems that are permanent and if anyone can give me some help that would be super sweet.

1) I can't change my desktop background. (Except I can change it's colors but it will revert back to white after the screensaver comes up.)

2) When I push ctr alt del it says, "Task manager has been disabled by your administrator."

Again these all came after I got rid of the spyware so if there still is something I need to do to get rid of a program, or if I just need to do some changing I have no clue. But anything would be super.

That happened to me :[
Just scan scan scan until you drop,
Try different programs, some will find that other can't.

So is it a program that is still there or is it something I can fix?

In run type 'msconfig' and go to the startup tab and look at all the programs that start when windows boots, google the ones that look suspicious and if they're something bad then uncheck the box so the program doesn't start up.


That's what I did, not sure if msconfig is the same for Windows Xp though.

There's one that says, [ admin" "-hide" ] without the brackets, is that it? The other ones look fine.

(I'm dumb as a rock when it comes to these things, which is why I got the spyware in the first place so I need to know what I'm doing XD.)

Happened to me. You have the Trojan windows desktop hijacker. Took about a month for spysweeper to find it.

Google it and see if its malicious.

Ya u have trojan Virus its hard to get rid of i am sorry to say i think you need to erase your hard drive. but trying to erase is still hard it took me a week befor it accepted the reboot.
