Well, I just got DSL. Hiphiphooray right?

I dont think thats its this slow, I tried to download a file and its going at 23.9 kb/s and that is extremley slow. I just got off AOL and I want to experience this but....

Anyone help me?

It could just be that the file was slow.


Happens to me sometimes and I'm on Cable.


Try downloading another file and see if there is any difference.

why? they live out in the middle of South Dakoda with no option for high speed? old people can be technologically advanced... or they can give in to your pleeding for highspeed.

I have Adelphia high speed, and the speed is awesome (normally 150-200 kb/s) but every time it rains the internet breaks down, and Adelphia people are too stupid to fix it. Believe me, they have tried.....many times.

Hooray for business class cable(8mbs down). I have a relative that works for the company.

Anyways, you were probably just downloading off a terrible server. You should notice the faster loading times of each pages anyways.

well this is what i noticed......if u have ever downloaded a ddr pack from ddruk.........its fast.....and if u downloaded the same pack from filefront.com...........u notice a big difference.............i depends how fast the website servers

lol deng i thought AOL was non-existent. DSL actually works better than cable if your service is closer to your area. Barely any lag playing games online.

I have Verizon DSL and the only problem we have with it is that when it rains we get bad service. And we got a faulty modem box and cord when we first got it. Otherwise nothing. Nice dl speeds of like 250 kbps on my wireless laptop. The main computer can reach 500 on a good download server. BUT my laptop needs more RAM and a new Graphics Card.
