Re: Making the switch to Mac

I dont know anything about Macs or their processing power. I am looking to switch myself, but to a more to the more "economical" MacBook.

If you can spare the money, I say go all out.

Actually, I'm looking at buying my Macbook from the mac itself since they have a bunch of deals for college students. My iPod was stolen (it didnt work anyway) and I am looking for a new one. If you buy a macbook, you have the option of getting a free iPod nano, which is better than not having an iPod nano (or paying for one). They also have a lot of good deals on software too. But thanks anyway.

I've actually heard that the new intel processors weren't that good, but this came from an extremely biased source. There was this fat guy who used to come into my work and talk to my coworker and I about heavy-metal (which neither of us listened to) and occasionally about computer stuff. He went on a rant for about 25 minutes about how he didn't like Intel and how Bill Cosby was a racist. It was the Bill Cosby comment that made me lose respect for him. He also said he used to jam with the guys from Alice in Chains (or some other really popular band like that). In sort, I think the guy was full of bull****.

He's a musician though, one of the only people in the world who would actually benefit from a mac.

The one button interface of Macintosh computers is vastly inferior to PCs and outweighs the fact that they are prettier. The new things with intel look cool, but I don't think I'll get one.
