    Imagining the Tenth Dimension.

ok, it made sense all the way through, but I am not so sure if 7th and up are true but I haven't heard any better ideas yet, so might as well think of them as correct untill proven otherwise.

Well, while the bandwidth is exceeded, here is the PBS one.
Following the broadcast of the NOVA mini-series The Elegant Universe, watch all three episodes here, divided into chapters, available in the QuickTime or RealPlayer plug-ins.

String theory is some crazy stuff. x__X
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

String theory seems to me as physicists surrendering to the immensity of the universe, creating an explanataion that can never be proven nor disproven.

That's all well fine and good, but last time I checked, we are unnable to fold dimensions onto themselves like that. All we have is theoretical bull**** about instantaneous travel, time travel, or even travel to alternate realities or universes, with no way of realistically completing it.

It's incredibly simplified. I'm sure that the true concepts behind this are too mind boggling for even me to understand.

Really good explanations. I too understand it, but I didnt until that last explanation for the 10th demension where it summarizes it all..

String theory isn't science. I'm glad at least JKPolk understands this.

                            Re: Imagining the Tenth Dimension.

String theory isn't science 'yet'. There will be more testable evidence as the years come, to either prove, disprove or disprove parts of the theory.

That's the way theoretical physics and mathematical theories have always been. Einstein made predictions decades before they were testable, they're doing the same thing here.

After watching this, it's not really 'string theory' anyway...lol. The mathematics in string theory point to 11 dimensions, but that's all. Last time I checked it does not make predictions about what is happening there and what there are. I'm sure you've heard about like 'branes crashing' together and stuff to explain the big bang, but those are just 'speculations', not really theory. Yea.
