Father's Day is a damn joke. You should respect fathers everyday. They don't need a special day for it.

As for presents, that is irrelevent. If you can afford to buy things for your own father and you don't unless there's a holiday saying to, you probably give ****ty gifts anyway.

Really, you should just respect fathers everyday, and buy things for them on a whim, not because a capitalist holiday said to.

Slightly relevant. I have a 16 yr old mate whos a dad. His son was born on the 6th of the 6th, big O6 as well.

I got my Dad Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - House of flying Daggers and Hero in this cool box set thing. He digs those films. I also got him a football signed by his three children because he likes football as its got awww factor to it.

Fathers day isnt just a day for respect, its a day for your dad to relax and be taken care of. He deserves a day off. Damn, you dont even have to buy gifts, just spend the day with him, let him know he IS appreciated and that through all the years you didnt just take everything for granted. But no, guess you didnt think about that did you, im guessing your father didnt have a very good holiday if thats how you look at it.

I personally, got my dad a new TV for outside the house, and a rack to hold it up. I took him to lunch, and made dinner for him tonight.

I don't know about your father, but mine gets at least 2 days off from work every week. One more day off out of the year isn't a big deal.

In fact, he just had a week off of work because my older sister flew back home for my graduation. Because he just had so much time off of work, he's actually at work right now.

It's really not a big deal. The holiday only exists as a means to market crap for people to buy as gifts.
