                      Seems somewhat cumbersome.

                      The technology is cool. I just think it doesn't look very efficient for military operations.

                          It would be so awesome to get some in your hands. No more walking for me. Even to get a sandwich from the kitchen I would strap on that baby...

                              Except that it doesn't allow for flight. It simply allows for controlled gliding.

                                              1) Put a 200-lb weight on the back of it. Something to make it bottom-heavy.
                                              2) Strap on a ballistic missile.
                                              3) Fire away.
                                              4) Ditch the weight when you reach the peak of your flight. (Look out below.)
                                              5) Land where you please.

                                                      Probably no more than a parachute. Plus you can glide to wherever you wanted without having to fly the plane close to your destination.

                                                      But what I just said is basically in the article. Looks interesting overall though.
