itg = in the groove a spinoff arcade game of DDR created by roxor. Has more difficult steps on it.

spread = playing with four fingers not on the arrow keys.

index = playing with index fingers.

also, you should probably have asked this in the noob forum.

itg i think stands for in the groove
spread and index are just playing styles (how you hit the arrow keys)
index uses just your index fingers and spread uses your index and pointer finger of both hands
