reminds me of the sims and second life... of games that really have zero purpose whatsoever. there is no end to it, from what I can see.

although I'm sure it will be popular. just not my cup of tea.

Totally understand that .. I am more of a strat game player when I do game. FPS's and things along those lines burned me out back in the Quake days.

I find most games have little purpose .. other than to steal ones time Something like this would likely keep me tooo occupied for too long and likely spell out a totaly time waster.

Well, in the older video, they said it wasn't an MMO, but it collected information on the different types of species and stuff like that from other players. So unless that's changed...

The video made it appear like it was an MMO... although I guess it is possible that the stuff you make gets sent to some central server and then uploaded to other people's games...

That would make it require internet and yet NOT be an online game.

As cool as this would be as an MMO, there are a few features like being able to blow up planets and such that would need to be altered for a MMO mode for this game. It would still kick ass, and hopefully they're considering it.

Personally, I'm excited. The editors look fun. I could spend a lot of time just on that =/

I don't think it's an MMO, but it could very easily become one. Only problem with it being an MMO is that you may be going about your business on your planet when suddenly somebody invades and blows up all your work. Don't have yo worry about that sort of thing in a single player game as much.

And uh, I'd say this looks way more fun than Sims and such. The fact that there is actual violence in it makes it cool. I've always thought that if there was a game like a mix between Sims and GTA, where you could raise families but part of how you make money is you rob your neighbors or kill annoying people, that'd be sweet. Seems like this game is just like that, but on a MUCH larger scale. o__O
