AIM spamming

I just got hit by a massive attack of spam messages/chat invitations/direct connect requests on AIM by about 10 different S/Ns that was designed to shut down my computer.

I just switched my AIM to contacts-only - that is, you can only contact me if you're on my buddy list already. If you need to get a hold of me over AIM, you'll have to PM me first.

Anyone know who was behind this?

I have a suspicion.

Oh, and i'm sad about you having to do that (although I DONT KNOW YOU, and I'd rather not know...). Not really annoying, but, honestly, I hate annoying people, and I HATE HACKERS >=(

yeah i get so many of these in my email. it gets annoying.like how do these advertisement boys get my email adress any way. there just a bunch a nobodys.

Sorry Chardish... It was really funny though, y'gotta admit.

Usually pulling a prank against someone involves something clever and witty, not just running up to them with a mask on and kicking them in the nads or something.

Frankly, I'm disappointed. It's like going to see live comedy by Lewis Black and he just turns on some old Bugs Bunny cartoon for the audience and goes outside for a smoke.
