You can either shoot a jet from your paddle with the left mouse button or suction with your right button and let the ball loose with a little explosion.
You can also alter the board in a ton of different ways and have the game track the pressure, velocity, vorticity, and curl fields, you can mess with gravity, buoyancy, pressure, and all sorts of other things, too.
But one thing you need to make sure to do: optimize it (the game weighs heavily on your CPU and graphics processing) so that you're getting 30-35 FPS when you play, as if it's too low the game is boring and not fun, and above that it's too fast to play well.
