    Some people need a bullet

I went to work today as per usual on a sunday i waltzed in at around 11 and talked to one of my work mates Jared. I did this until around 11:30 when he went on his half hour break and i opened up one the cash reggisters. It was maybe 13th customer i had put through and i heard the single sentence i absoulutly hate. "You didn't give me the right change...." Now when ever i give out the change incorrectly i own up to it, and i knew i had given the right change. this bastard had come up with a $50 note (bill in american speak) and bought a single bottle of water. i then gave him his $49 change. He then began to mumble off a sentence while i watched him put a $20 in his pocket. he looked at me and said i'll get one of these chocolates aswell. so he gave me the $1 required for the transaction. He then went

"oh wait hang on... i only got $28 dollars.... you didn't give me the change...i should have $48"

i looked at him and said "I gave you the right change..."

He goes "NO you didn't" so i went over the Mic and called my Manager up. She then came down 20 seconds later and said

    "what's the problem"

i said "this guy says i gave him the wrong change." So my manager then pulled out the till and brough up the sales figures for the day and counted the money out and said

" If he didn't give you the right change it should say his over by $20. But unfortunatly for you it's over by 20 cents. which it has been all day."

he then said "Nah it's a conspiracy your all trying to short change me."

my manager then politly told him to get the **** out of the store before she called security down.

Now what i can't understand is why you would even try to do this, it's only $20 wtf is wrong with you. You've held up all these other people who want to purchase things and now they're angry at me... why are people such assholes to people who work in a store?

Keep working and wait until someone robs you.

    It's more fun that way.

Like when they take one hundred dollars from you.

    Literally.

Well... I've worked at banks for over 4 years, and I can't recall a single person stupid enough to try that. I mean, plenty of people have said that... but either they were correct in that I had given them the wrong amount of money, or they honestly believed I had (either because they couldn't count or because they forgot how much money they were due back). Its also very easy to check these things at a bank. Probably alot easier than at a store.

Thankfully, I never had anyone try to rob my branch while working there (only 1 branch I worked for was ever robbed, period.) Although I have had people try to scam us while I was there, and more than once watched someone get arrested for a failed attempt. Good thing Jersey finally upgraded their State IDs... every single scam attempt in the entire Tri-State area (either one) is done using one of the horribly easy to fake Jersey IDs.

All in all... consider yourself lucky that all you had was a guy trying to scam 20 bucks from you, instead of somone sticking a gun in your face.

Maybe he didn't rob Matty BECAUSE he didn't have a bullet.

Not having a bullet has been the key factor in why I've never robbed a retail store. I'e got the gun...which is scary, but what if someone calls my bluff? I'm going to have to start sprayin' bullets you know?

At that point you get out your wallet and politely apologize. Then you both have a nice, eharty laugh over it and the guy has a story to tell his family over dinner.

The thing is if someone does come in with a gun to hold us up we're ****ed. cuase we can only open the till if you scam somthing threw and hit a few buttons. You just can't press a button to open it straight away. It's actually quite scary to think what if i get shot by some guy cause i couldn't open it.

That's when you scan something through the till to open it... Not THAT hard to figure out. Or give him the till. Or spray paint his face.

I went to the bank and the conversation went like this.

                        Me: Give me my change

Teller: I didn't sell you anything

                        Me: Why not?

                        Teller: It's a bank

Me: Let me see your manager

Teller: What is your account number.

Me: I dont know off the top of my head...but my name is Bill Gates.

                          Teller: Oh snap.

Me: Yeah. But keep it on the down-low. Aight? And give me a million dollars.

Teller: Anything for you, Mr. Gates.

The guy was trying to con you, and forgot how the con went. If they do it right, it's so confusing you won't even know what hit you. Happened to my brother once while he was working in a pizzaria, and the guy continued to do the same scam down the strip, where he was arrested at the last store.
