    Posting Strike

Until the default skin has been changed or another skin added to the FFR Forums that fits FFR well, I am going on a posting strike.

I will not post at all until a new skin is brought onto the FFR Forums. I am sick of this theme and I hope this strike will show whoever the skin maker is to speed things up.

If you would like to join me in the fight for a fresh, new, (and better) looking forum skin, reply here once with your "Strike!" post.

Note that this is not a new theme, just merely a skin so the forums can look better.

Strikes only work if the people going on strike are needed. . .
    Nice.

          Re: Posting Strike

Excuse me snapps, but you are tottally out of line here.

Synth has been spending time AWAY from his family to get the site up to a secure state, so that the thousands of people that play FFR can do so on a secure server. We worked our asses off for hours and hours into the night, trying to bring the forums back up to working order.

Last time I checked, I joined these forums for the content, not the look. If you're so vain that you won't post unless the skin changes, then so be it. It's such a trivial thing to whine and bitch about, and trust me, this thread doesn't help speed up the process at all.

We've got many exciting features just waiting to hit the live site, but oh wait, we have to find a different theme because Snapps doesn't like it! (PS: This isn't the default theme.)

If you're going on a posting strike, so be it, you will not be missed. I'm sorry to all the other users if you find this post a little heated, but the point is that Synth, myself, and all the other dev's and mods do all of this for NOTHING. All profits made from the ads go straight back into the server costs.

I'm going to sleep now, see you when we have a new theme snapps.

PS: security issues are occupying the majority of our time right now... we'll get to the theme when we have time

You generally need a whole group of people to strike, or you just get fired.

Isn't the noob forum the FFR Union.

I mean they're always questioning stuff and asking for more songs.

                      Re: Posting Strike

I don't think there is a chance of any positive feedback for Snapps, coming from any source, after LD's explanation.

For some reason I find it humorous he didn't lock it as well. XD

                        Re: Posting Strike

Snapps may or may not have been joking. But seriously snapps, if you want to help the process along, you could actually help us instead of complaining. Go and read up on making Vbulletin styles and or find one that will make you happy. I would be more than happy to help install it once it is finished.

LD and I especially have been working really hard behind the scenes. There are many things that the users will never see that are vital to the site running correctly. I am sure we are both a little burnt from this past week.

                        Cheers,

                        Synthlight

For me though, I'm just a bit angry with FFR but I have no reason to be.

I mean, I probably do, but I just don't fully get it right now.
