Alright, my sound is not working and I can't figure out why. I realize you need more information to help me, but I don't know what kind of information you would need. So my AIM is Torlock13, or just reply to this topic.

clear your cache <_<

Assuming you have windows xp

1)control panel> Sound speech and audio device>adjust system volume> check the volume level and make sure th mute isn't checked

2) hardware tab, make sure its work

3) check your physical connections. unPlug and unplug every thing dealing with your speakers.

3)Control panel>Performance and Maintainance>See basic info>Hardware tab> device manager> under sound stuff, expand and check for exclamations. right click, properties, trouble shoot if there are any

4)Get new speakers

5) get a new computer

If you have a sound card make sure its in there tight. Also check device manager.

Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups. (I think there are close to 24,000 groups) All you need is 200, but remember, the more that you post, the more money you make!

Um, yeah, so I got that problem one time (Windows XP, on 87x's custom built) It kept giving me a message to go and check my sound devices, that an installment was missing? Click on your volume icon, if there's a problem, you should get a message telling you what to do, and what hardware to install to resolve it

but yeah if your sound isnt working first check the advanced sound otpions and make sure anything important isnt muted. Then if you have an onboard sound card you might wanna reinstall the drivers or something(if that doesnt work then you can buy a sound blaster pci sound card for like 20-30 bucks at best buy), if you have a pci sound card i guess you can transfer it do a different pci slot to see if the one you got is shit, but first you should try the reinstalling the drivers with the pci card also. youd have to know what sound card you have or what motherboard you have.. and if you bought your comp from a retailer then goodluck. if the driver thing and repairing hardware through windows doesnt work your onboard soundcard might just be bad and you should go to best buy and do the pci thing.
