Computer problem.

This is what happened I finsihed playing O2Jam, and I thought it was just some weird windows bug so I restarted my computer, which didn't do anything.

It's especially weird when you look at THIS.



So obviously the icon wasn't deleted. But why is it not appearing on the main start menu?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

That happened to me once when I was done playing SM. I just deleted them all off of the start menu and then Re-pinned them. If that doesn't work you are screwed.

Okay. So. Progress?

I can right click each icon individually, go to properties, change the icon, click okay. Which would a pretty awesome solution if this wasn't a problem with my 50+ FOLDERS not to mention other various programs that I have on this computer.

Not to mention the ridiculous amount of folders in the /c/windows area.

I really really really, need help.

open a folder and go to tools > folder options

then go to file types

see if anything looks #$%ed up in there

also, try right clicking on the desktop and going to graphics properties or something and refresh it
Try clicking on the show desktop thing in the icon tray

Not sure if this will work, but what you can try is going into a folder that has the icons showing up properly, then go:
Tools --> Folder Options -->Apply to all folders

SO. My friend suggested I do a system restore, so I did one to 2 days ago. Computer shuts down, computer turns on, and nothing's changed except i've got an extra folder on my desktop htat I remember deleting yesterday. Joy.

I took chickendude's advice and tried this, folder icon looks messed up?

The icons ARE still on my computer. I DON'T understand why they aren't showing up.

Okay, so now I am going to publicly admit to being a retard.

Basically I thought the dumbass solution would be, since the problem originated after playing o2jam, why not play o2jam, exit it, and see what happens?

It worked. ROFL.

I'm requesting a lock to prevent spamming, and more importantly stop people who will flame me for my stupidity.
