Early Brids/Night Owls

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. No matter how early I wake up, I can never seem to go to sleep before 1 am. In the past six months only once have a gone to bed before 12 am, and the reason being that I had had LASIK eye surgery preformed and I was all doped up.

Anyway, I was wondering how many you consider yourselves Early Birds, Intermediate, or Night Owls.

For those of you who are not familiar with these terms:

Early Birds tend to wake up around dawn and go to bed sometime in the evening.

Intermediate people are rather flexable with their sleep schedule as in waking up early doesnt bother them and neither does staying up late.

Night Owls tend to wake in the afternoon and go to bed after midnight.

I'm so much of a night owl it's a little bit scary. I mean, look at this post's timestamp... been awake since yesterday evening, and this isn't uncommon at all. >_>

If it weren't for class, I'd be nocturnal just about all the time. I did manage to make a schedule where only one of my classes is before 2 PM though, haha.

I'm guessing most people here are going to be night owls (although I don't expect many to be as bad as me, eheheh). It's actually been shown in studies that teenagers' body clocks are adjusted differently so that they are most comfortable sleeping late and staying up late.

During the school season, I'm a pretty hardcore Early Bird. I don't go to bed until 11:00pm though. However, during the summer, I'm a hardcore Night Owl. Literally my entire summer I always stayed up until 6:00am, slept to about 1:00pm, and stayed up again until 6:00. It was awesome.

I'm a night owl, but not by sleep patterns - I hate the fact that my body likes sleeping into the afternoon because that's when society has determined life occurs. I think of myself as a night owl because my mind's on alert at night - my best ideas, my sense of humor, and extreme charm are all awake while my lazy-ass body goes inactive for eight hours.

Intermediate. I used to be really capable of waking up really early--but I go to sleep later. If I have to i'm able to wake up early and stay awake, but not during boring classes at school.

I have some of the weirdest sleep patterns ever. I can't really fit into any of these categories.

If I go to bed early, I wake up late.
If I go to bed late, I wake up early.

Example: I woke up at 6:30 this morning after staying up until 1AM listening to music.

I'm a night owl if I have a choice, however school ruins my latenight schedule.

I would be an Intermediate/Night Owl personn. If it weren't for soccer and school I would be a night owl, because those things are so early. but all summer I wasn't alseep before 1am, and tried to sleep until atleast noon. For soccer and school, I have to be up at 6 and thats just too early, but I've been doing it for so long that it is just normal now.

Intermediate. Especially during skool.
But on weekends and during summer I can be awake until
2 inthe morning and then wake up at 10:30 or 11. It's annoying
sometimes, 'cuz i get very tired easily then

Usually I sleep from about 3 pm to about midnight and stay up all night and morning.
In which case I'm both a night owl and an early bird, yet not intermediate.

That's been fucked up for the past week or so, but I'm working on fixing that.
