      Uh, don't you mean Optometrist? They're the ones that deal with glasses and contacts and any other corrective lens. Ophthalmology (note spelling. You missed an H and an L) deals with the biology of the eye itself; they don't do anything with correction past giving you a proper prescription. That, and you need a nice little M.D. after your name to be one.
