I actually have an interesting story to tell, although I do not like what's going on in it.
At around 3:45 this morning, I was sleeping in my usually way, where not even a person making a phone call could wake me up. However, something did manage to get me up. It was a very loud noise. Really loud. I was the horrible sound of all seven fire alarms in my house going off. They only went off for about five seconds, then they turned off. I opened my bedroom door, and heard my brother and mom talking, and she said that if there was a fire, the alarms would have stayed on. So, I went back to bed. Five minutes or so later, BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! After this happened about five times, my mom called the fire department. My mom had already checked the whole house twice, and outside, all around the house, and found nothing burning. The alarms continued to go off, and she had me get my coat and shoes on, although we stayed in the house. The heater kept coming on for five minutes, and each time it turned off, the fire alarms sounded again, but always for about five seconds each time. After the alarms had gone off about eight times, they finally stopped, and the firemen hadn't arrived yet. They got here around 20 minutes after my mom made the call, and told us to replace all the batteries in all of our smoke detectors. They also said the a cob web that was near one of them, or even a little dust could set them off. When they left, I struggled to go to sleep again until 9:45, and I think I fell asleep at least once before then.
This doesn't sound horrible, but I have an International Business final today, so I really could have used some more sleep. I know about all of the things that will be on this exam, except for Carnet De Passage, so if anyone could tell me about whatever this is, they will be awesome.
