Sounds like the parents set up a few parameters.

It's quite possible your parents discovered all of the monkey porn you were looking at, eh?

              I love you.

Hmm...If it's not parental controls, I would check your HOSTS file (for windows XP, it's C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\) and verify that the only line in it says:

              Code:
              127.0.0.1 localhost
Get back to us with the results of that.

I presume you mean the only noncommented lines.

Since tny brought this file up, I might as well mention that if you have AIM and it runs ads, just put the following lines after all the # lines:

                Code:
                127.0.0.1 localhost
                127.0.0.1 ar.atwola.com
                127.0.0.1 ads.web.aol.com
                127.0.0.1 VTOT.proxy.aol.com
                127.0.0.1 ads.aol.com
127.0.0.1	AdSubtract	# Added by AdSubtract for auto-dial.
in order to remove all the ads from AIM. And I don't know why the code formatted it that way, but just have one tab after the ip and before the text, for what it's worth.

This is why I have more than the one line. Of course, I run DeadAIM, which removes the ads itself, but it's handy to have these in there, too.
