    *PROBLEM SOLVED!* Please lock.

I posted this problem in the Stepmania board, but I'm posting it here as well in order to gain more attention to the subject, and because it's happening with more than just Stepmania now.

I just reinstalled Windows XP on my hard drive due to a weird error I had a few weeks back, and most things are running up to snuff once again. However, whenever I try to run Stepmania, Jumper Two, etc., I get this error: ""The procedure entry point OpenVxDHandle could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Hmmm update all your drivers, especially DirectX.

        RE: OpenVxDHandle Error

I just installed DirectX 9.0, so it must be one of my drivers. I'll check for the newest versions of them.

EDIT: I just looked at how old my driver is, and it's three years old. Yikes.

But I never got this error with the same drivers, so is it really that kind of a problem?

Completely sure. Installed from the same disc.

                  ooh I hate kernel32.dll

I had massive problems with that one back when I was struggling through windows 2000.

Solved the problem. All I have to do to for the programs to run is to have them run in Windows 2000 Compatibility Mode.

                    Lock, please.
