    I've always thought it would be cool if teachers would beat up kids that got in trouble. My 5th grade teacher always threatened it, but never did anything.

                      nForcer, I think it does fit into that category, but just because it was a nice amendment way back when doesn't mean everyone supports it now.

                      I think cruel and unusual punishment would be great.

                                  It would certainly deter me. I don't plan to ever be in a position to be punished like that.

                                  You could say the same thing about jail time or fines. People like those when it's not used against them.
