    Computer Issue (BSOD)

SSJ997: SSJ997: so I got bsod'd for the second time in 3 days today.
    SSJ997: SSJ997: 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

SSJ997: Typically due to a bad driver, or faulty or incompatible hardware or software.

So yea, I'm sick of computer problems. I just recently reformatted, to get rid of lag issues and some other things that were screwing up on this computer, and now I have to deal with this. It's really starting to annoy me =/

How can I check to see what hardware or drivers are incompatible on my computer? And I don't have much installed at all, so it shouldn't be hard to find it I would think. I just don't know how. I only have necessary programs that I need to use on here right now other than stepmania.

what were you doing just before you got BSOD'd?

I've gotten BSOD'd with that same message before. I restarted and it worked fine. Have you uninstalled anything recently? It might be the remnants of some program not working (obviously)

Looks like your IRQ settings got thrown out of whack from the reformat. I would suggest going into BIOS and finding an option relating to assigning IRQ. Set it to Automatic.

It was like this before the reformat

How do I do that? At startup, hit delete? I can't remember.

And ok, it was fine and didn't come back. Untill today. I got something different too...and it came twice in a short period of time.

            DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

then something new on the bottom about afd.sys - adress F566468F and some other junk i copied down.

What the hell? Christ. Then I opened media player and said something about it not shutting down because of some damaged or incompadable plug-in. Could this be related?

            I'll try what tny said.

edit: yea ok, I didn't see anything in there about that. There were like, IRQ 1 through 15 but I didn't see any options for what you were talking about
