Actually, Belk robbed you of several hours with your girlfriend.

But DST contributed, since if I'd remembered I could have stayed in bed an extra hour.

Oh, I also recently found out that Europeans also practice DST. We're NOT the only idiots of the world!

I don't know why you bitches whine about DST. It's a great idea. Why have the sun come up at 6 in the morning and go down an hour earlier in the summer? It doesn't make sense to have the hour of daylight that early in the morning. But I guess if you have sand in your vagina........

            RE: Daylight Savings Time

I got up an hour early and was like, wtf, it's not supposed to be light out at 6am! I actually came to school NOT in a rush.

              RE: Daylight Savings Time

Great idea my ass. It was created as a joke to get people to work longer. It just cheats the day and makes things confusing for no good reason. Why can't you poons just take the days as they come. The Alaskans don't change the clocks to have month long days.

I don't even know when the sun should come up or go down or how it originally was because I don't care. The sun comes up when it comes up, whether it's at nine AM or three thirty AM. There's NO need to make everyone change their clocks.

                RE: Daylight Savings Time

Changing your clocks is easier than changing your sleeping schedule so you get up an hour earlier during the summer.

                Well, for me it is.

Do you know who first suggested Daylight Saving Time?

                  Benjamin Franklin.

Why would you change your sleep schedule? Eight o'clock on 10/28 would look exactly like eight o'clock on 11/1.

Do you say "Hey, the sun just went down. I've got two hours and forty-seven minutes before I go to bed."?

RE: Re: RE: Daylight Savings Time

The time thing is for the summer. Without it, the sun would rise while we're all asleep. With it, the sun rises as we should be getting up and thus, gives us an extra hour of daylight (hence the name Daylight Savings).

People, quit pulling origins out of your asses.

It's only around because people tend to like operating in daylight hours, so the clocks are adjusted so that if we retain the same schedules we will end up being awake for more hours of daylight. Of course, this is an outdated practice and I agree with Guido that it's retarded nowadays. It was a good idea back in the day because it saved money on candles/electricity and stuff, but these we have streetlights that come on as soon as it's dark, regardless of what the clock says, so we don't seem to care about saving money on lighting.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Perhaps it was created so that people in the winter don't have to drive home in the dark in the snow on ice and crap like that. So with Daylight Savings Time they get out of work when the sun is still out a little.
                            Just a theory.
